Land Acknowledgment

Special Olympics Newfoundland and Labrador respectfully acknowledges that we are located on the ancestral homelands of the Beothuk, whose culture was lost due to European settlement. We recognize the Mi’kmaq, Innu, and Inuit peoples, who have cared for this land for generations and continue to do so today.

We are committed to fostering inclusivity, respect, and reconciliation. We honor the Indigenous communities across Newfoundland and Labrador and celebrate the diverse cultures, traditions, and contributions of all Indigenous peoples.
